Every year, MMSC puts together events to both educate and promote our efforts. As a non-profit, this enables us to continue our goal to save and preserve marine wildlife.
It is with sadness in our hearts that we are informing you that our Dancing with Dolphins Gala, originally scheduled for August 6th, 2020 at One Atlantic Events, has been canceled for this year. With the current situation with the Covid-19 Virus, we feel it is the right decision for the welfare of all. We appreciate your support and understanding as we all adjust our lives to this new way of living. Our hope is to plan for a bigger and better event in 2021!
The loss of this major fundraiser will have far-reaching effects on our ability to respond to the animals. ALL contributions, large or small, will help us to continue our mission of helping the animals when they come to our shores in need of help.

Update on Run for the Animals! We are still planning on holding our race at Laguna Grill and Rum Bar on Saturday, October 3rd. Social distancing rules will apply. Runners/walkers groups will start at 8 am with 15 minute increments between groups This race is chip-timed. Breakfast buffet will be served outside starting at 9 am until 11 am. To comply with social distancing, there will be no awards ceremony. Awards will be mailed or can be picked up at the MMSC. Participants can pick up their shirt and bib at the Marine Mammal Stranding Center on Friday, October 2nd between 4 and 6 pm, or on race day starting at 7 am.

$10 fee for buffet for non-participants, $5 for non-participants 5-10 years and free 4 years and younger
This is a 5K Race with Chip Timing and Results Kiosks by Second Wind Race Timing. Results available on kiosks instantly upon finishing! Online results published and updated while race is in progress!
Walkers welcome (must finish in 50 minutes or less to get an official time, but you are still welcome even if you walk slower than that). We are aiming for 300 participants this year.
Become a Fundraiser when you enter! Fundraisers who raise at least $200 in online donations get their entry fee refunded!
First Overall Male and Female, plus top three in Age Groups (M/F) for 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ (walkers welcome, but you must finish 5K within 37 minutes (approximately) to be eligible for awards). This year to comply with social distancing, there will be no awards ceremony. Awards will be mailed or can be picked up at the MMSC.
All runners registered by September 7th will be guaranteed a custom Run for the Animals 5K race shirt. Runners registered after September 7th will be eligible for a Marine Mammals Stranding Center shirt as supplies last.
After September 18th, registration increases to $30. On-site race day registration $40 (cash or credit) and begins at 7:00 am. Save money by clicking "Register Now".
